is looking for a Driver & Operator Improvement Coordinator II to supervise driver improvement and training programs and equipment operator training programs.

As a Driver & Operator Improvement Coordinator II, your duties and responsibilities will include:Plans, coordinates, and supervises a multi-agency driver improvement program involving continuous evaluation of drivers, and conducts driver safety and education courses.Plans, organizes, and conducts a multi-agency training to educate and train drivers to meet the requirements.Plans, coordinates, and supervises a multi-agency heavy construction equipment operator training program involving proper techniques and use of equipment, equipment safety, and refresher courses.Performs other related duties as assigned.If you qualify for the position, your name will be placed on an eligible list for further consideration. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :Four years of experience in driver training and construction equipment operator training and/or accident prevention activities, or other related activities involving instructing, advising on, or evaluating motor vehicle driver and construction equipment operator performance, including or supplemented by some investigational experience.

Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the operating requirements, procedures, and safety features of a variety of motorized vehicles including automobiles, trucks, construction equipment, tractors, mowers, and vans; proper and safe driving techniques and highway safety as it pertains to motor vehicle operation; and investigational methods and techniques; and the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate a departmental driver improvement program; schedule and conduct instruction for driver training; and investigate traffic and vehicular accidents, determine cause, and recommend means for correction.

License/Certificate Requirements : (These licenses, certificates, and endorsements are required at time of application and must be maintained on a current basis thereafter.)1. Valid Hawaii State commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B.

2. Current State Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examination certificate.

3. CDL endorsement "N".
