The Associate Designer plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the design team’s processes and workflows. This position requires the ability to work independently while providing support to the design team to achieve results. Adherence to project calendars and deadlines is essential for driving timely outcomes.

What You'll Do
Pipeline and Development ManagementCreate and maintain development and sourcing logs.
Tag and check-in Design Master Samples; conduct regular inventory checks and maintain the design portion of the shared chart.
Sales Presentation Preparation
Assist in creating color CADs and swatches for sales presentations and line reviews (Market Prep).Illustration and SketchingUpdate and create detailed sketches in Illustrator, including all style details (front, back, stitches, buttons, etc.).
Create art instructions for prints, stripes, and embroidery layouts.
Meeting and Fitting AttendanceAttend meetings and fittings as needed, taking detailed notes (CFT, Milestone).
Update change logs and advise cross-functional teams if design changes affect photography.
Seasonal PreparationUpdate seasonal RM charts for meetings and communicate recaps to relevant teams.
Communicate the status of Lab Dips, Fabric, Art, and Trim submissions to the PD/Production team.
Presentation and OrganizationOrganize presentation boards and assist in meeting preparations.
Participate in market/trend research, including silhouette, fabric trends, and color development.
Maintain and organize the resource library (fabrics, trims, reference samples, print).
Ensure all samples are correct, steamed, and organized before meetings.
Line Sheet and Tech Pack SupportSupport the designer in creating and maintaining line sheets, DRF/Tech Pack/PLM.
Assist in creating mood and trend boards, both physical and virtual.
Manage the handoff of product and color standards to e-commerce and merchandising. Ensure color matching, proportions, and image uploads are accurate.

Relevant experience in fashion design, particularly in the apparel/retail industry.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other CAD software.
Proficiency in additional design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or 3D design tools.
Strong understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques.
In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry, including key players, market trends, and consumer behavior.
A degree in fashion design or a related field is preferred.
