The Holgate Center is seeking energetic candidates for our EVP of Marketing and Sales to serve our three levels of care: Independent Living, Resident Care Facility, and Skilled Nursing. Salary:

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year depending on experience

Position Purpose:

Leading census development and occupancy management to achieve financial goals of the Skilled Nursing Facility, Resident Care Facility, and HUD Apartments while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations, and established facility policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience with demonstrated success in census development and occupancy management in a nursing home or other related health care facility.

Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the overall operation of the Admissions department, as well as its programs and activities, to develop census goals while maintaining compliance with current state and federal laws and regulations.

Evaluates and adjusts admission practices as needed based on reaching desired occupancy.

Visits possible residents in nonclinical settings including residential homes.

Ensures open and collaborative relationships between the business office and the admissions office to work toward shared facility goals for occupancy and collections.

Plans, develops, and implements an external and internal census sales strategy with each admissions team member to build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners.

Available on site and in office no less than 40 hours per week to assist with tours, admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Develops community collaterals in conjunction with the Administrators and provides information to referral partners when necessary.

Identifies opportunities with new referral partners and develops sales strategies to build relationships and communicate community services and offerings.

Develops and implements a sales and admissions process that leads to the conversion of referrals to admission status.

Establishes geographic assignments for each admissions sales team representative with scheduled outreach to potential referral partners.

Maintains a listing of referral partners, locations, and assignments with each external admissions sales team liaison.

Monitors and evaluates the implementation of the census sales strategy.

Maintains accurate records of available beds at all times.

Ensures referrals are recorded and processed timely with appropriate follow-up communication.

Ensures financial evaluations of potential residents’ payment options are completed.

Understands and analyzes facility fiscal health through meetings with the Administrators.

Ensures compliance with mental health screening requirements.

Ensures timely processing of referrals and knows the status of each referral.

Makes decisions on referrals to admit or not admit.

Ensures resident admissions, transfers, and discharges are recorded accurately.

Ensures admissions staff behavior aligns with facility goals for occupancy and customer service.

Completes and files admission paperwork according to facility policy.

Informs the Administrator of obstacles to admitting residents and provides solutions.

Maintains daily logs of referrals, anticipated discharges, and available beds.

Communicates with interdisciplinary teams regarding room assignments for pending admissions.

Demonstrates interpersonal relationship skills and communicates clear expectations to staff.

Speaks effectively in private and public situations.

Interprets and communicates policies and procedures for admissions staff.

Ensures census reports are completed accurately.

Participates in performance improvement committee activities.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to improve the admissions process.

Leads recruitment, hiring, and termination of admissions personnel.

Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.

Successfully executes census development strategies.

Participates in the facility’s plan of correction response to inspections.

Promotes safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.

Maintains confidentiality of protected health information.

Reports noncompliance and any allegations of abuse to appropriate personnel.

Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings.

Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately.

Follows established infection control policies.

Completes all assigned training and skills competency as a condition of employment.

On call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

May require some travel.
