A law firm based in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney with 2-6 years of solid litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, exceptional writing skills, and a proactive mindset. This role involves handling all phases of labor and employment litigation, crafting persuasive legal documents, and engaging in law and motion practice. The attorney will also provide day-to-day legal counsel to a diverse range of private and public sector clients.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage all phases of labor and employment litigation, including pretrial, trial, and post-trial activities.Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Engage in law and motion practice, including preparing and arguing motions.Conduct depositions, pretrial preparation, and trial work.Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to both private and public sector clients on labor and employment issues.Handle complex legal issues and client interactions with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.Stay updated on labor and employment laws, regulations, and case law developments.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective legal strategies.Requirements:2-6 years of solid litigation experience; labor and employment experience is a plus.Proven experience in handling all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents and engaging in law and motion practice.Strong academic record with a demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues.Excellent writing and communication skills.Proactive mindset with the ability to handle intricate client interactions and legal challenges.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California (or eligibility for admission).Skills:Expertise in labor and employment litigation and related legal matters.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle complex legal issues and client interactions effectively.Experience with depositions, pretrial preparation, and trial work.Proficiency in drafting persuasive legal documents and engaging in law and motion practice.
