Indiana University Health is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented leader to join our System Health Solutions leadership team as the Vice President – Corporate Real Estate.
The
Vice President – Corporate Real Estate
oversees and directs strategic and operational planning activities for the IU Health real estate portfolio. Key areas of responsibility include integrating the corporate real estate strategy into the overall system strategy, portfolio management, transaction management, including the acquisition, disposition, and renewal of leased space and/or owned space, lease administration and cost management, space planning and utilization, and asset services and property management. This leader will have responsibility for researching, identifying, and evaluating new development opportunities, negotiating and executing development agreements, key contracts, and venture agreements, assessing the financial viability of potential projects and ventures, managing due diligence activities such as environmental assessments and compliance, title work, zoning analysis, and other geotechnical studies, handling the leasing and marketing of key completed projects, working closely with design teams to ensure all projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the system standards and integrating the overall system strategy into a cohesive and comprehensive real estate strategy. The Vice President – Corporate Real Estate collaborates closely with senior leaders across the system and partners with executive leadership in annual and long-term strategic real estate planning.

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required. Master's Degree Preferred.
Requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
Requires commercial real estate experience and strong knowledge of the Indiana real estate market.
Requires strong leadership skills, including building and engaging team members and collaborating across areas.
Requires strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
Requires the ability to navigate and get things done in a highly matrixed and complex system.
Requires knowledge and experience in finance, operations management, strategic planning and community relations.
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
Requires knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory agency guidelines and laws.
