Job Description
Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management (“KAR”), a Registered Investment Advisor is currently seeking an Institutional Client Relationship Manager to be based in our Los Angeles office, work a hybrid schedule and must be able to travel frequently.
The successful candidate is responsible for providing excellent client service and communication to KAR's institutional clients. Its focus will be on client reporting, client engagement, account retention, and ad-hoc requests, as well as utilizing data, technology, and engaging marketing and operations to enhance our overall client experience. This role will work closely with the KAR institutional sales and consultant relations teams, senior investment professionals, and client portfolio managers as well as the Virtus Investment Partners’ institutional sales and consultant relations professionals. Our existing clients are within the endowment & foundation, corporate, public plan, religious and Taft Hartley sub sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Managing Director to coordinate and execute a strategic plan to further strengthen relationships for KAR's institutional client base.
Provide a high level of client service and communication with assigned institutional clients. Seek cross-selling opportunities through client interactions.
Further strengthen relationships with assigned institutional consultants through timely and impactful communication with both each firm’s manager research and field consultants. Seek opportunities to have KAR equity strategies favorably rated on institutional consultant platforms.
Oversee assigned new business development opportunities through the prospective client due diligence process; manage information requests and meetings through the client decision-making process.
Work with client stakeholders to define success metrics and determine engagement strategies.
Participate in industry conferences and events to promote the firm, build industry relationships with both prospective clients and institutional consultants and remain current in industry trends.
Ideal Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in business or finance, with 7+ years of external experience in the asset management industry, with demonstrated successful institutional client service and retention experience.
MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
In-depth knowledge of various asset classes with a focus on public equities.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities, execute responsibilities and work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
FINRA Series 7 license or CFA preferred.
Ability to maintain flexible hours; some travel is required and will vary based on client meeting schedules.
The base salary range for this position is $186,000 to $227,000.
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
