The Position
Robeco is seeking to recruit a Senior Institutional Sales professional who will focus on building the firm's client base in North America. This person will be charged with strengthening and dramatically increasing the size of the institutional business in the region. The successful candidate will be highly experienced and dynamic, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organization.

Position Summary
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the overall asset growth of the institutional business across channels in the region including pensions, sub-advisory, OCIO and insurance.Work in close partnership with investment teams to position Robeco's offerings effectively in the marketplace.Extensive working knowledge of all factors of the sales cycle including, developing the most compelling narrative, identifying strategic existing relationships and prospective clients, determining cadence and timing of client approach, collaborating internally to leverage firm resources and closing client commitments.Identify unique opportunities to expand Robeco's business through a value-add approach with clients and prospects.Responsible for managing/developing existing and new strategic partnerships across platinum/gold accountsServe as an ambassador for the firm and be viewed by clients/consultants as a senior-level firm representative.Attend (when appropriate) industry events/conferences.Conduct research and perform analyses to understand market & competitive environment to be able to identify commercial opportunities and threatsSupport the Head of Sales in developing the local sales plan, aligned with the Robeco strategy, including segmentation (Platinum/Gold/Silver) to set focus for business development & client retentionDrive commercial activities in alignment with the sales plan and in collaboration with Robeco colleaguesBroaden and strengthen relationship via sharing thought pieces, marketing materials, event invites etc.
The Candidate Ideal Experience
• 10+ years in institutional fundraising with deep relationships in the region.
• Demonstrated track record of sales success, achievement of sales goals and ability to exhibit strategic approach to accomplishment.
• A strong understanding of the evolving dynamics in the institutional marketplace, including the needs of clients within different channels.
• Substantial technical knowledge of different investment products/strategies and vehicles; experience with quantitative products is a plus.
• Ability to quickly understand and articulate Robeco's investment strategy, differentiating factors, and competitive advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment in which sharing information and collaboration is essential for success.
• Strong presence, perspective, and competence that engenders trust and confidence within the institutional investor community.
• A positive, collegial attitude and high level of professionalism.
• Willingness for substantial travel to meet with clients and prospects.
Education and Credentials
• CFA and/or MBA degree strongly preferred
• BA/BS required
• Clear U-4 and clear compliance record
