Job Overview

Rhode Island Restoration, a leading disaster restoration and construction company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources and Safety Director to join our team. We specialize in providing comprehensive restoration and construction services to residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions across multiple affiliated companies, as well as developing and implementing safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Responsibilities

Human Resources:

Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding.

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

Coordinate and conduct training sessions on various HR topics, such as workplace diversity, harassment prevention, and company policies.

Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Lead employee engagement and recognition initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

Assist C-Suite and Ownership team with any additional tasks that will help drive company initiatives or contribute to business development.

Safety:

Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment on all job sites.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

Provide ongoing safety training for employees and ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to safety guidelines.

Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, safety training records, and OSHA logs.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

Skills

Extensive experience in HR management, preferably within the construction or restoration industry.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards relevant to the construction industry.

Proven ability to develop and implement effective HR policies and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with HR software, safety management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Bilingual skills (desired, but not required).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
