University of VermontVermontFull TimeSalary Range:The University of Vermont Libraries seek a dynamic, creative, collaborative, and experienced professional to serve as the Director of the Jack and Shirley Silver Special Collections Library. The Director provides visionary leadership, fosters a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, facilitates communication and collaboration, and identifies opportunities to expand program strengths. Reporting to the Dean of Libraries, the Director oversees a busy research library with an extensive Vermont research collection, a rare book collection with materials ranging from medieval manuscripts to contemporary artists’ books, the University Archives, and a diverse digital collection.The Director develops and expands the Silver Special Collections Library’s successful teaching and research collaborations with faculty, undergraduates, graduate students, community members, and scholars. As a member of the University Libraries’ senior leadership team, the Director participates in planning, policy-making, and strategic initiatives for the University Libraries.
