The Sales & Marketing Director will passionately lead our organization’s marketing and catering department at Bush River Road and ensure that all guests are delighted as they enjoy Chick-fil-A products and service in our restaurant and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation & Strategy:

Create a long-term and innovative strategy around the marketing and catering department; research and stay current with the resources offered by Chick-fil-A or used at other stores; work with managers to determine what should be implemented and purchased.

Vision:

Ensure the department is always moving forward and working towards the store vision; actively plan and prepare for the store’s future in monthly, quarterly, and annual increments.

Tracking:

Debrief and keep a detailed record of strengths, weaknesses, and areas of opportunities for all catering and marketing events to ensure that adjustments are made and the team is better prepared for the future.

Sales Strategy:

Develop and execute a thoughtful and intentional catering strategy each quarter to achieve set outside sales goals each individual month.

Food Distribution:

Developing and executing a monthly food distribution schedule in conjunction with the Catering Manager.

Sampling:

Develop and execute a monthly sampling schedule and inform operational leaders of this schedule.

Ordering:

Ensure campaign materials, coupons, BOGs, and PALS are ordered and inventoried.

Budget:

Work with the Operator to manage and maintain the marketing budget.

Donation Requests:

Manage and handle all requests.

Mobile Ordering:

Promote the mobile app to meet monthly sales goals through usage, delivery, and curbside.

Spotlight:

Manage application and utilize it to create raving fans.

Events:

Host and execute all organization events in restaurant and in community; communicate events with the team in an enthusiastic manner (Spirit Nights, DDDN, Christmas party, etc.).

Morale:

Keep the team morale high by acting as store cheerleader and driving energy through intentional acts of kindness towards the employees.

Cow mascot program:

Mascot appearances 1x/week in store and regularly at community events; maintenance and cleanliness of mascots and costumes.

Cleanliness/Organization:

Ensure the marketing and catering areas and materials in the break room, lofts, and office are organized, clean, and tidy; maintain an inventory of all materials.

School Partnerships:

Manage all school relationships and their accounts; work to establish clear systems and standards for sponsorships, donations, PTO sales, etc.

Awareness:

Pursue, cold call, and visit potential clients in a persistent and genuine manner to convey our services and product options; pursue all schools (local and away) for catering.

Remarkable Delivery Experiences:

Fresh food, on time, tablecloths, cows, presentation, etc.

Operational Preparation:

Send out all catering orders the day before to store leadership; prepare all pick up orders and deliveries: box meals, condiments, ice, gallons, etc.; work closely with and assist the operational leaders to ensure they are prepared and adequately staffed to execute the orders.

Financials:

Handle all paperwork and monetary management in a detailed and careful manner and ensure all catering bookkeeping is up to date and accurate; TBC sales don’t exceed 30 days without payment.

Community Events:

Manage store community calendar to maximize catering and brand marketing opportunities.

Client Communication:

Ensuring all guests receive the royal treatment after our delivery: follow up with thank you cards, food distribution, phone calls, etc. after large orders; ensure all large clients are communicated with monthly.

Systems and Training:

Develop clear systems for all catering procedures in accordance with Chick-fil-A standards; train and communicate these systems with all store leaders including guidelines with regular catering partners, purchase orders, TBC sales, condiments to be included with orders, etc.

Operational Time:

Assist in the store operations 20 hours/week (scheduled time) subject to change based on Sales/Marketing and Operational needs.
