Salary range : $175,000 - $200,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and responsibilities:

Collaborates with members of the leadership team to identify ways IT can assist the agency in achieving agency goals and enhance the user experience.

Ensures technology adequately supports the current and future needs of the agency.

Creates, maintains and executes strategic plans with solutions that elevate and scale capabilities across IT and the agency.

Communicates goals and projects succinctly, regularly and transparently with agency leaders and stakeholders.

Drives decisions using stakeholder input and communicates those decisions effectively.

Manages the day-to-day operations of IT.

Identifies, influences and drives continuous improvement across the agency.

Identifies areas for improvement; develops and enforces IT best practices, policies and procedures that are best-fit solutions for agency needs.

Grows the skills and capabilities of the IT organization through diligent and constructive feedback, guidance and coaching to staff.

Fosters a culture that represents and reinforces CJE values; focuses on accountability and great customer service.

Assists in building a project management philosophy and capability within CJE.

Effectively identifies, communicates and manages benefits and risks associated with the IT ecosystem and technology projects.

Manages workload and resources effectively to drive successful outcomes.

Develops and manages the IT budget; ensures alignment to spending plans.

Oversees and maintains relationships with vendors, partners and service providers to ensure mutual success.

Manages and negotiates technology contracts and agreements.

Secures data and IT systems; identifies, implements, and manages programs that reduce cybersecurity risk.

Required skills and abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all technology proficiency levels.

Highly proficient at translating business needs as articulated by users into technological solutions, as well as translating technical concepts into a language that the user community can understand.

Past experience in leading an IT organization, including direct supervision of a team, managing establishing goals and objectives for a team, and creating metrics to foster a culture of accountability and customer service.

Ability to establish strong partnerships with agency leaders, stakeholders, service providers and vendors.

Process orientated; ability to identify and eliminate process gaps, as well as to simplify and/or automate for efficiency and improved customer experience.

Strong executive presence, with experience presenting to, communicating, and collaborating with Executive Team and Board Members.

Strong, demonstrated experience developing and managing a cybersecurity program, including incident response, risk management, secure software development, privacy and security controls, vulnerability management and training/awareness.

Experience working with and enhancing software development lifecycle processes and procedures.

Knowledge of business practices and procedures related to data privacy and regulation.

Visionary thinking with demonstrated experience building and executing strategic plans that elevate the user experience and achieve organizational goals.

Knowledge of cloud and on-premise server infrastructure, SD-WAN networks and VoIP solutions.

Ability to successfully create comfort when introducing change.

Experience with development and maintenance of CRM/Salesforce, Azure/Sharepoint/Microsoft, and custom application environments.

Comfort working within a complex technical architecture and demonstrated experience assessing and acting on opportunities for streamlining and modernizing infrastructure.

Knowledge of and ability to inform/review/strengthen software/system architecture and/or code development.

In-office presence required 50-80% per week.

Minimum of five (5) years of managing and leading an IT organization.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems or other relevant degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
