EXAMPLE OF DUTIESThe Division of Aquatic Species Restoration Chief provides leadership, coordination, technical guidance, and resources to advance our statewide program. Our goal is to restore, recover, and propagate diadromous fishes, freshwater mussels, non-game fish, amphibians, reptiles, and other aquatic organisms, with a focus on threatened and endangered species as well as species of greatest conservation need within these taxonomic groups. This position requires a broad technical knowledge in the ecology, management, and restoration of diadromous fishes, freshwater mussels, non-game fishes, amphibians, reptiles, and other aquatic organisms.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of a probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the Centre Regional Office in Bellefonte. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
