Overview

EnquBio, a dynamic technology-driven discovery and service company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Discovery to lead our talented team of scientists. This pivotal role requires substantial expertise in the area of target validation, CRISPR-related technologies, cell line generation, primary cells (including iPSC and stem cell) research, and comprehensive exploratory biology and MOA studies. The candidate will be responsible for team building, developing innovative new technologies, and providing scientific guidance and solutions for our clients' drug discovery research needs.

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team of scientists and researchers specializing in discovery biology. Provide scientific leadership and mentorship to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.

Oversee the implementation and optimization of cutting-edge technologies including innovative CRISPR-based gene editing, iPSC generation and differentiation, 3D and co-culture using primary cells, and other relevant techniques.

Expand and manage the team, including team training, infrastructure implementation, new technology and capability development, and strategic planning.

Actively seek and collaborate with partners for new technology development and risk sharing programs to advance our capabilities.

Collaborate effectively with management and cross-functional teams to expand capability and service offerings, and to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.

Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with corporate goals to drive innovation, optimize workflows, and achieve project milestones.

Qualifications

PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related discipline with a minimum of 15 years of experience in discovery biology, preferably within CROs, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.

Proven expertise in cell line generation, CRISPR technology, primary cell and iPSC research, and MOA studies. Strong background in exploratory biology.

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to lead the team in delivering multiple projects within timelines.

Proven ability to excel in team environments, with a track record of fostering collaborative relationships with management, partners, and peers from diverse backgrounds.

Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Ability to innovate and integrate new technologies and methodologies into research strategies.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in computer skills, including expertise in data analysis and instrument software, as well as Microsoft applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

$150,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
