PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated cell biologist to support Nurix's mission of developing novel bifunctional degraders via E3 ubiquitin ligases and proteosome machinery in the areas of oncology and immunology. This individual will work closely with our drug discovery project scientists to support SAR studies and lead optimization of novel compounds in various cell systems including cancer cell lines, primary cells and immune cells, and characterize their MOA. The candidate must be self-driven, organized, able to work well independently as well as with other scientists, and able to thrive in an exciting environment in a rapidly growing company.QualificationsScientist I : Ph.D. in cell biology, cancer biology, immunology, or related field with 0-2 years industry experience with postdoc training, or M.S. with 5+ years, B.S. with 7+ industry experienceScientist II : Ph.D. in cell biology, cancer biology, immunology or related field with >2 years industry experience, or M.S. with 8+ yearsBackground in cellular signaling, cancer biology and experience in drug discovery is a plus.Ability to conceive, design and execute hypothesis-testing experiments that directly contribute to project success is essential.Demonstrated track record in functional assay development in oncology and/or immunology.Experienced with cell biology techniques such as PBMC isolation, primary cell tissue culture, CRISPR engineering of cells and the use of siRNA/shRNA knockdown techniques to support mechanism of action studies for drug candidates and target validation is preferred.Hands-on experience in various phenotypic and functional cell-based assays, such as flow cytometry, HTRF, ELISA, Western/Jess, cell viability assays and other multiplexing technologies.Experience in NGS and bioinformatics is a plus.Enthusiasm in developing novel ideas/technologies, eager to learn and innovate.Attention to details.
