We are seeking a Program Director to lead our Aquatics/Swim Team for our North Family YMCA. This is a great advancement opportunity for an aquatics lead or coordinator!
The Aquatics Director/Swim Team Coach is responsible for the management and coordination of lifeguards and swim lesson instructors and will also lead the Swim Team in accordance with the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley program guidelines and policies. The Aquatics Director will develop and implement new and innovative programs following trends in aquatics, swim team and other program areas. The Aquatics Director is responsible for ensuring the safety and satisfaction of members, program participants, and staff.
The qualified candidate will possess at a minimum:
Able to build solid relations and build on current collaborations with school partners and other community entities to grow programs
Demonstrated skill in all areas of aquatics program management, including swim team
Strong ability to effectively communicate with program participants, parents, members and community partners.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple programs simultaneously.
Able to respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in emergency situations.
As a full-time, salary/exempt employee, the qualified candidate will receive a competitive benefit package to include:
Health insurance: Y pays 65-93% for individual and 57-82% for family; Dental: Y pays 65%; Vision available
Flexible Spending Account/Health Savings Account
Y Retirement Fund: Y pays 12% after employee meets eligibility requirements
Eligible to participate in 403B savings account through Y Retirement Fund
Paid Time Off: Begins accruing at 19 days per year up to a max of 30. Caps at 240 hours
Life Insurance: Y pays 1 X salary, EE has option to purchase additional coverage
Long Term Disability: Paid by the Y; Employee can elect to purchase Short Term Disability
SALARY:
$45,000-$48,000
