Position Summary:
The Quotations Specialist reports directly to the Quotations Lead and is responsible for the preparation and analysis of requests for quotes to suppliers (RFQ). The Quotations Specialist may perform a variety of duties in accordance with their training experience and skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Examine, review and evaluate cost data for accuracy, price competitiveness, and supply. Familiar with a variety of supplier commodities, electronics, sheet metal, packaging, PCBs. Examine pricing and compile finished quotes to include labor, material, test, overhead and logistics. Perform a variety of complex tasks working with Suppliers, SQE, Supply Chain, Program Managers, etc. Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services), Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics Environment. Possess a BA/BS degree in industrial, mechanical or business administration or equivalent experience. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers and suppliers. Must understand complex pricing negotiations. Must have advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including Word, PPT, and Excel (Macros, V-Lookups). Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented. Manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills. ERP experience (Preferably SAP). Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information. Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Nonessential Skills and Experience: Preferred: APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) Certification. This may include odd hour teleconferences with global facilities. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
