How we LEAD:

UMe is presently seeking a Director, Content Creation reporting to the Vice President of Creative Strategy & Content. Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) is the global catalog and special markets division of Universal Music Group. Working closely in concert with UMG’s record labels, territories and operating companies, UMe provides a frontline approach to catalog management, an emphasis on strategic marketing initiatives and creating in new technologies. The Director, Content Creation will oversee the production of artist-branded and short-form content, ensuring the seamless execution of creative projects from concept to completion. This role will involve strategic oversight, creative direction, and management of all video production efforts.

How you’ll CREATE:

Creative Video Production

Lead the production of original music videos, visualizers, series, and short-form videos for artists and thematic projects that stand out in a crowded digital landscape.

Develop tasteful video concepts and pitch them to artist management teams, ensuring they are compelling, innovative, and strategic.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage all aspects of content production, including pre-production, production, and post-production.

Produce engaging derivative content for artists, such as video ads, Spotify Canvas, YouTube thumbnails, and additional assets as needed.

Adapt creative strategies to fit the unique demands of video across social platforms, leveraging data insights and trends to inform content development.

Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.

Creative Strategy and Innovation:

Research and identify key trends in design, video, and content creation to inspire and inform the team's work.

Support the VP of Creative Strategy & Content in identifying innovative content companies and potential partnerships to enhance the music catalog.

Develop and maintain relationships with third-party creative vendors.

Bring your VIBE:

Extensive experience in creative video production, with a strong portfolio of work produced.

Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant video production tools.

Knowledge of animation techniques a plus.

Passion for in music, design, visual arts, and fashion.

Deep understanding of digital trends, streaming platforms, and marketing technology.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Natural collaborator & team player.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into effective creative strategies.

5+ years of experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing creative production projects.

Salary Range: $103,270 - $120,405

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
