Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow our C++ Embedded Software Engineering Team.What you'll do:Lead our Core C++ Embedded Software Team. This team is responsible for developing software features for our LiDAR sensors.Manage cross-functional activities like feature discussion, design reviews, and timeline determination.Participate in software design discussions and contribute technically to them. Depending on the project, sometimes contribute code.What you'll have:2+ years of experience in managing people working in a software engineering team in a fast-paced environment.Deep understanding of C++ for Embedded development.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Proven experience in reliable execution and defining goals for the team.Ability to lead the team in solving complex embedded software problems and deliver software reliably.Nice to haves:Experience with software development practices such as ASPICE, ISO26262, and ISO21434.Experience working with Classic or Adaptive AUTOSAR framework.Experience going through customer requirements and summarizing key software deliverables.What's in it for you:Very competitive compensation and meaningful equity.Exceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more!Unlimited PTO: Take all the time you need.Paid lunches, ping pong tournaments, and fun team off-sites!$181,300 - $245,300 a yearSalary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
