Job Description Summary

The Chief Credit Officer actively manages the risk and credit function of the Wintrust Equipment Finance Division. This role is the senior credit position in the Division and manages the Division’s credit team as well as is responsible for the overall credit quality and the development and execution of the credit process of the Division. As the head of Credit, he or she is responsible for overall credit underwriting and coordinating the closing of leases and loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures. The position of Chief Credit Officer is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of underwriting of equipment loans/leases, the Bank’s lending and compliance policies.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for the credit process, compliance and overall credit quality for the WEF division

Management and training of the WEF credit staff

Review and approval of equipment finance/lease transactions within assigned approval limit

Underwrite complex equipment finance/lease transactions

Attend customer and prospect calls with bank deal teams

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

7-10 years experience as Head of Credit in a financial institution - Equipment Finance Industry credit experience a plus

People management experience required
