Position Summary
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer with an active CPA license to oversee all financial aspects of a real estate construction company in Boca.
Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the company's long-term objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, performance metrics, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders, including the BODs, senior lenders, and investors.
Oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, revenues, and profitability for each project.
Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting to provide insights into the company's financial performance and outlook.
Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and support operational needs. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and industry standards by implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Oversee financial audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including investment analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
Collaborate with other senior executives to drive overall business strategy, offering financial insights and expertise to guide decision-making.
Evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities, perform due diligence, and lead financial negotiations and integration efforts.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Masters or MBA preferred.
Active CPA is required.
Proven experience as a CFO managing a department of at least 12 employees.
Knowledge of project accounting, construction, or real estate development.
Experience with senior lending arrangements including ABL structures, lender covenant compliance, etc.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP), regulations, and compliance.
High proficiency with Excel and various enterprise accounting software.
