February 2024Position OverviewGrow and maintain sales for an assigned territory utilizing consultative sales techniques. The customer base is Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Department of Defense, Indian Health and any other US government agencies buying off the VA contract for hearing aids and related products.Essential Functions
(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)Develop a territory plan to grow and maintain salesAnalyze sales reports to understand growth opportunities and threats to maintaining salesBuild relationships with customers, then understand their needs and how ReSound can solve these needsPartner with inside sales and customer service to grow and maintain sales for a territoryEducates customers on the company’s product lines and technologiesDemonstrates product and provide fitting assistance, as neededServe as instructor for group training sessions throughout the USActively participates in all regularly scheduled conference calls and meetingsAttend all training required by the companyMaintain accurate customer records in shared database to enhance understanding of customer needs by the inside teamMaintains timely expense, travel records and sales call reportsAttends trade shows and industry functions as neededFrequent travel required – minimum 75% travelSpecial projects as neededCompetencies
(Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)Ability to write a sales territory plan and business correspondence.Consultative sales techniquesRelationship buildingAbility to train a customer on product and software individually or in small groupsAbility to present to customers at national training events.Prioritize work and follow-through.Detail orientedWork without direct supervisionAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.Excellent computer skills and proficiency using PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SFDC (CRM) and ExcelStrong leadership and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal communication skillsAble to resolve problems and complex issues at higher levels.Ability to effectively prioritize and balance diverse work schedule and demonstrates ability to be highly organized and manage time effectively.Proficient with oral and written communication and with conducting presentations.Desired QualificationsRequired Education (if necessary):Bachelor’s degree requiredPreferred Education (if necessary):AuD (Clinical Doctor of Audiology), Master’s or PhD in Audiology preferredExperience (if necessary):VA experience preferredClinic and hearing aid fittings preferredOutside sales experience preferredTravel (if necessary):
