Department InformationAbout the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE)Under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) challenges students to become accomplished learners who can make meaningful connections among work, study, and community. We connect curricular and co-curricular offerings to support students in developing a strong foundation for success, during college and after. We do this through the efforts of our faculty, professional staff, and students, and we strive to create and maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive educational and work environment.

About the Career CenterThe Career Center reports jointly to the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) and the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE). The Center includes the Career Operations Team, which includes event planning, administrative support, and IT; the Undergraduate Career Education Team, which provides resources to undergraduate students to support their searches for full-time employment after graduation; and the Employer Connections team, which leads the effort to grow and maintain the elite brand and the diverse set of employers engaging the Georgia Tech campus.

Associate Director of Career EducationThe Associate Director of Career Education provides centralized support and oversight of career education initiatives that benefit all students from all colleges and areas of study. This position will develop and scale strategic opportunities and programs to empower all students to enhance their career and professional development, identify career paths, and secure internships with the goal of finding career success upon graduation.

Job SummaryProvide strategic direction and operational oversight to advance Career Education initiatives within the organization. Reporting to director-level leadership, this position collaborates closely with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive career education strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Lead a team of professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance cross-college programming, resources, and advising services. Key responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of various student programs and resources, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with leadership to lead signature events to scale career education efforts for undergraduate and graduate students.

Oversee the development and implementation of various student programs and resources.

Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders on broader career education programming, initiatives, and trainings.

Supervise, lead, and mentor staff who provide cross-college programming, resources, and advising. Hire, train, and equip new staff as needed.

Oversee student liaison activities designed to engage the full spectrum of students.

Oversee various programs including hiring, training career advising and delivery of career programs.

Responsible for collecting, synthesizing, and reporting student engagement and assessment data.

Create asynchronous, online, and other content for resources to support students in identifying career opportunities, co-op, internships, and post-graduation career opportunities.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required ExperienceFive to seven years of job-related experience. The ideal candidate should have four to six years of relevant work experience.

Proposed SalaryJob Grade: A10Salary Range: $72,783 - $85,885. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

Due to the responsibilities of this position, this role requires an onsite presence on Georgia Tech's Atlanta campus (100%).

Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesABILITIESCapacity to align career education with the Institutions mission and goals; Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for career education programs; Ability to plan large-scale events, provide customized career advising, and supervise core initiatives to the benefit of all students; This position may require occasional overnight travel for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours.

SKILLSStrong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences, both internal and external, with flexibility and strong problem-solving skills.
