Ambassador is expanding its sales team and is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Vice President of Sales to target and grow new opportunities in higher education and K-12 schools in the for-profit and not-for-profit sector. Primary Responsibilities

Acquire a deep understanding and knowledge of Ambassador's solutions, products, and services.

Attain or exceed sales targets by developing new accounts, demonstrating the proven ability to "advance" the sale and build client relationships to maintain and expand market penetration.

Perform consultative selling by working with prospects to understand their specific objectives and provide solutions that meet their needs.

Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, marketing, or using other methods of generating interest from potential clients.

Develop and deliver winning presentations/product demonstrations at conferences, client meetings, and prospect opportunities.

Ensure a robust pipeline and meet potential clients by identifying decision-makers within an organization and growing, maintaining and leveraging the network. Demonstrate the ability to close sales and overcome client objections.

Work with Technical Staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

Prepare RFP responses and manage contract negotiations.

Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate within Ambassador's CRM.

Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.

Job Requirements

Ten plus years of work experience as a sales executive, business development manager, or other relevant role, preferably in Education sales.

Proven sales track record.

Knowledge of competitive landscape preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and deliver effective presentations.

CRM and Microsoft Office experience.

Travel as required to meet prospective and existing clients and attend industry conferences. Work outside normal business hours as needed to cover sales opportunities.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or education; master's degree preferred.

We offer a competitive base salary ($110,000 - $135,000), commissions, and bonuses as well as generous paid time off and top-notch benefits. Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills.
