The successful candidate(s) will gain excellent work experience in leading the multi-disciplinary and diverse staff in the KSG, which provides reference services to congressional clients; and knowledge management, acquisition and collections, and technical services to CRS staff. More than one applicant may be selected to serve on a rotating basis.Applicants must be a current Library of Congress employee serving in a permanent or indefinite position.The individual(s) selected will:Support the Assistant Director in leading the division and managing all aspects of its work.Assist with human resource management.Liaison with CRS and Library of Congress management, Members of Congress and their staff, and other outside organizations as appropriate.Minimum Knowledge and Abilities Expected :Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary and diverse staff.Ability to manage research and reference services.Knowledge of knowledge management, research materials acquisition, collections management, integrated library systems, and/or institutional records professional best practices.Ability to work collaboratively.Ability to provide advice and exercise judgment.If you are interested in being considered, please submit an e-mail to Julia Taylor at
