Job Description

Design and implement design direction for drawings and sketches as assigned project lead

Review Revit and BIM360 file management to confirm conformity with office standards

Generate and review design deliverables generated by project members from the design, production, and rendering teams to confirm conformity with office standards

Generate and maintain team meeting agendas and meeting minutes for general circulation

Manage document dissemination and generate Revit project documentation as assigned project lead to ensure timely deliverable submission to Client and permitting entities

Manage Revit and BIM360 file assignments and access as assigned project lead

Manage, coordinate, and review Revit documentation efforts of project drafting team

Provide feedback to BIM manuals, procedures, and Revit template updates if required to Design Technology Manager for incorporation into office and documentation standards

Generate and record responses to internal and external Customer comments and requests in a professional, timely, and courteous manner

Manage and record Client and Team reviews and approvals through BIM360

Incorporate revisions to architectural standard details under supervision of Senior Leadership where needed

Update standard office document and templates where needed under supervision of Senior Leadership where needed

Interface with construction and manufacturing teams to ensure faithful and profitable execution of VBC projects

Conduct periodic project site and/or factory visits and document construction and/or manufacturing progress to ensure compliance with project documentation

Support strategies that will help meet the needs of and improve the level of service to internal and external Customers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required

5-10 Years of experience required

Revit proficiency required

Adobe Creative Suite proficiency required

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required

Must have a positive attitude and be able to function as part of a team

Must have good oral and written communication skills

Must be detail-oriented and highly organized

Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Must be an independent problem-solver and appreciate a fast-paced work environment

Team Interconnectivity

Reports to Vice President of Design

Works closely with Design team members and visualization team

Works closely with VBC | Pre-Construction Project Managers on project specific items

Works closely with Design Technology Manager to ensure documentation compliance with office standards

Position located at VBC | Studio main office

Travel expected 4-8 times a year
