The candidate must be self-motivated and must thrive in an environment valuing teamwork, results, and creativity. The successful candidate will take ownership and drive quality and reliability into the company's new products from inception through the first year in production and must develop, implement and improve processes and systems to support product quality and reliability.This position reports to Sr Director HW Quality and Compliance Engineering and works closely with Hardware Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support Engineering, Global Customer Support, Technical Operations and Supply Chain Management.Your ImpactEstablish and maintain controls and document procedures related to NPI product quality and reliabilityAid Development and Production teams in introducing new productsDefine and execute initiatives to permanently eliminate quality and reliability issuesDevelop product performance dashboard metrics and maintain them for the first 12 months after product launchSupport executive level product quality and reliability reporting enabling product quality and reliability reviewsProvide reliability inputs for quarterly business and quality reviews with suppliersProvide technical support for failure analysis, for corrective & preventive action processes, as well as for statistical analysis such as sampling plans and comparing actual with expected outcomesProvide technical support for electrical, electronic & mechanical component’s quality and reliability standardsAct as a technical resource supporting root cause analysis down to chemistry and physics of failuresYour ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or higher in an applied science or engineering field10 to 12 years progressive experience in reliability engineering or reliability centered quality work for networking productsCreating credible failure rate predictions for components from their operational descriptions is a plusHas worked successfully directly with hardware, software and mechanical development teamsStrong statistical, data analysis, investigative and problem-solving skillsDesign for reliability processes and quality improvement methodologiesExperience with Quality Management Systems is a plusProficient with Reliasoft Lambda PredictWillingness to travel when requiredExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsDesired skillsHardware product MTBF prediction experience highly desiredWorking knowledge of Reliability and Quality Engineering tools such as Reliasoft tool suite or equivalentFamiliar with reliability testing such as HALT, HAST, ORT and Fault Insertion TestingUnderstanding of Design for Excellence methodologiesHas been involved with process development, documentation and implementation including, but not limited to, NPI, DVT, DFx, ORT, HALT, Reliability & Risk Assessment, Failure Analysis, Root Cause & Corrective Action, etc.The TeamOur World-Wide Operations team is a team of professionals with extensive business and project management experience in the contract manufacturing industry. This team has a proven track record of success in all aspects of supply chain and project management. We’re dedicated to growing production, reducing operating costs, and improving product quality by utilizing World-class Manufacturing concepts to optimize supply chain processes and strategies. Our manufacturing team leadership establishes clear objectives, defining and implementing profit improvement and profiling inventory management, valuation, and lead-time improvement programs. If you have a passion for extensive end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain with the knowledge and experience, we want you!Compensation DisclosureThe compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $130,000/yr to $209,000/yr.
