Senior Civil Engineer

candidates to fill the position Project and Office Manager at our

Downers Grove

location.

As a Project Manager specializing in roadway improvement projects, you will lead and coordinate the execution and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects. Your role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial start-up to project closeout. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage the budget and schedule, and ensure project scope and client requirements adherence.

As an Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of administrative, and other multidisciplinary department functions. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks will contribute to the overall efficiency of the office.

Millennia is seeking a civil engineer with

10+ years of experience .

POSITION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Manage the scope, budget, and schedule of Phase I and II projects initiated by IDOT, Tollway, and local agencies.

Supervise and manage staff in developing Phase I reports (Project Development Report).

Supervise and manage staff in developing of Phase II contract plans, specifications, and estimates (PSE).

Lead multidisciplinary team members and project engineers and provide technical guidance to design staff.

Promote business development, interacting and communicating with clients.

Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Oversee day-to-day office operations and coordinate with the Office Admin.

Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for engineering staff.

Ensure office records, files, and databases are maintained.

Collaborate with the department and project managers on document control and project-related tasks and issues.

Maintain organized filing systems for project documents.

Ensure proper archiving and retrieval of records.

Assist in preparing project proposals and presentations.

Collaborate with accounting and human resources on office-related issues.

Act as a bridge between management and employees.

Disseminate important announcements and updates.

Foster effective communication within the office.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Conduct safety training for office staff.

Coordinate with Office Admin to organize office events, team-building activities, and celebrations.

Coordinate logistics for workshops, seminars, or conferences.

Assist project managers with invoicing and billing processes.

Assist project managers with tracking project-related expenses and reimbursements.

Collaborate with accounting for financial reporting.

Greet clients and visitors, ensuring a positive environment.

Handle client inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team members.

Schedule client meetings and conference calls.

Assist and guide the department and project managers on project-related issues.

Provide support to the Office Manager of the other offices.

Attend meetings with the other Office Managers to discuss IDOT and Tollway bulletins.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS, INCLUDING SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Knowledge of MicroStation, Open Roads, and Projectwise.

Knowledge of Highway Capacity Analysis/Software and other traffic software.

Knowledge of HEC-RAS and other drainage programs.
