Denver, CO/ Remote Hybrid, USADescription of Responsibilities:Construction of numerical hydrological models,Due diligence and independent reporting projects,Provision of leadership and advice to clients including written reports and presentations,Advise on mine dewatering in underground and open pit mines, water supply, pit-lake infilling, site closure and hydrologic impacts of mining,Use of groundwater modeling software such as FEFLOW and MODFLOW,Creation and maintenance of client relationships in world-wide projects,Work in a team environment,Travel to provide occasional support to field programs, andOther duties as assigned.Essential Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental studies or similar earth sciences,Five to ten years experience in professional consulting, including:
Construction and calibration of numerical hydrogeological models,Mine dewatering experience in underground and open pit mines,Knowledge in water supply and groundwater chemistry related to mining, andAbility to provide proof of expert advice provided to mining clients (i.e. published reports, client references, presentations, etc.).
At minimum, three years’ expert applicability in groundwater modeling software MODFLOW,At minimum, one year expert applicability in groundwater modeling software FEFLOW,Basic programming skills, python preferred,Ability to manage and process large datasets,Proficiency with MS Office suite,Proficiency with GIS software (ArcPRO or QGIS),Knowledge of principles of inverse modeling, stochastic modeling and familiarity with the PEST suite, andExperience with contaminant transport modeling preferred.Salary: $80,000-$120,000 USD per annum.In return for considering a future with us, we offer:An attractive compensation package.Diversity of projects and clients within a non-hierarchical consultancy environment.Opportunity to purchase shares in the company; the SRK Group is an independent group, owned by its employees.Applicants should respond by submitting their CV online.
