Weiss, Hale & Zahansky Strategic Wealth Advisors is looking to hire a Wealth Advisor/Associate Financial Advisor that takes a ‘tailored’ approach to delivering the most memorable client experience while providing strategic advice for clients. This role will also be responsible for leading our Tolland, CT location and building our WHZ brand throughout the Tolland County community seeking meaningful long-term community and client relationships. Summary of Responsibilities

As a member of the WHZ Advisory team, this advisory role is responsible for driving business development and client success through our strategic financial planning and investment process: Plan Well. Invest Well. Live Well.TM which will guide products and services offered to clients. This role is tasked to build tailored relationships with community members, guide clients through their financial plan towards achieving their financial life goals, working collaboratively with team members and external professionals to drive client financial plan execution, remain compliant with all WHZ, CFN and FINRA requirements.
Build tailored relationships with community members: You will build meaningful relationships with new and existing community members in the Tolland County market and beyond. This may include attending social events, business networking events and connecting with key Centers of Influence (COIs).
Guide client through their financial plan: As a dedicated team player you will have a key role in guiding the client through their financial plan and ensuring they execute on the plan. In addition, you will fully participate in and provide points of view as part of WHZ’s investment committee.
Work collaboratively with team members and external professionals to drive client plan execution: You will work with all WHZ team members to execute financial plans and partner with external professionals on legal and tax planning.
Compliance: As an Advisor you will comply with all WHZ, FINRA, SEC and Commonwealth regulations; satisfy education requirements. Remain up to date on industry developments, service and product enhancements, regulatory issues, client needs.
Required knowledge/skills/competencies
BA or BS in business; advanced degree/designation a plus (e.g., MBA, CFP, CPA, etc.)
Prior certification or willingness to enroll in CFP certification program
Life and Health Insurance licensing
FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 or 66 registrations
Five-plus years of industry experience and has worked directly with clients
Knowledge and communication of financial planning concepts and terminology with ability to expand and grow in this area
Knowledge of and ability to explain products, such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, insurance, and annuities with ability to expand and grow in this area
Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft365, MoneyGuidePro, Asana, CRM systems, Argus, Broadridge Forefield Advisor, Morningstar Advisor WorkstationSM
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience and certifications). Annual bonus range would be 15-20% of salary.
This is a full-time role offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package as part of our Total Rewards Compensation Philosophy including salary, 401(k) with match, profit sharing, short term and long-term disability, Health Insurance, generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
