Associate Drivers receive training and coaching and perform driver duties that allow them to gain the necessary experience to qualify for a professional driver position.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:?Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicleUse Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as?an electric pallet jack and/or hand truckManeuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstaclesUnload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environmentsProvide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnelComplete delivery and pick up paperworkPick up returned product as requiredCollect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc.Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicleComplete company training and certifications as requiredEffectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workersOther projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:Required Skills and Experience:?Must be at least 21 years of ageMust possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent driving experience in the militaryMust have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirementsMust be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basisMust be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test?

Preferred Skills and Experience:?High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Customer service experienceExperience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environmentStocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experienceFoodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience
