POSITION SUMMARY - Quality TechnicianThis position performs a variety of inspection, verification, and containment duties to ensure product conformance meets specifications and requirements. The Quality Technician (QT) is responsible for evaluating parts produced on various lines, the (QT) will flag production parts found to be suspect or nonconforming, and support engineering with containment processes, the (QT) must be prepared to escalate concerns to the appropriate party and always promote a culture of quality and to minimize the number of defective parts,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Verify and document product and process conformance to the company standards and requirements• Collect and analyze samples from finish goods prior leaving the production plant• Contain aild report suspect product and processes not in control• Conduct Measurement system Analysis• Document and report discrepancies and measurements results• Assist with root cause investigations for product and process issues• Support in developing and improving their own work environment to reach the target of OEE, Customer PPM, Customer Complaints, Scrap and other company and department measures• Monitor key equipment process parameters• Maintain inspection, measurement, and test equipment within the department• Perform sample layouts for Production part approvals• Perform process audits and contamination control sampling• Follow company policies, procedures and comply with standard safety rules and regulations• Comprehend current production quality standards and determine if ongoing production meets those standards• Communicate emerging and trending quality issues to prevent negative impact in production• Provide day to day production support on quality concerns and develop and implement short/long term countermeasures to quality problems.• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts defined plans and written/verbal instructions

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED• High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree preferably in manufacturing or engineering; minimum 2 years of manufacturing work environment• Use of hand inspection gages, laser profilometer and contractor inspection equipment - preferred• Yellow belt six sigma and problem-solving experience• Knowledge of CPK Statistical process control• ISO 9001 experience• Ability to determine severity of a defect and the required response• Experience with visual inspection systems and programming• Experience with basic measurement and inspection tools• Experience in high volume, tight tolerance process manufacturing environment• Strong communication skills• Excellent Computer skills: Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc. And data entry• Team player, dedicated to overall company performance and the ability to get along with others• Self-motivated with enthusiasm and drive; able to work independently as needed• Ability to work various shifts if needed, to support a 24/7 operation• Reliable attendance on-site required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel• Ability to communicate and listen• Occasionally required to sit• Must be able to occasionally lift 351bs.• Ability to reach to use tools and equipment for inspecting and testing• Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection• Ability to inspect small parts visually and through the use of magnifying equipment• Ability to perceive depth to set up equipment
