About This Role:The successful candidate will be able to handle various responsibilities, including data management and standard administrative duties. The candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced law enforcement environment and compile information, prepare reports, and complete tasks within short deadlines. The candidate will assist customers and other department staff with transactions requiring advanced knowledge and experience; respond to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; and provide and explain department policies, procedures, and regulations. The candidate will be tasked with maintaining a stock of office supplies and placing supply orders when necessary. The candidate will assist department staff with travel and training paperwork as it pertains to outside training requests. This position is currently located at the Prince William County Police - Eastern District Station at 15948 Donald Curtis Dr., Woodbridge, VA 22191.Technical: The successful candidate will be able to utilize basic Microsoft Office products and other basic computer programs.

Minimum Requirements:High school diplomaorG.E.D and 2 years of related (administrative support services and coordination) experience.

Preferences:

Experience in a public safety environmentExperience with Microsoft Office products

Special Requirements:All employees considered for hire by the Police Department are subject to a Polygraph Examination and a thorough Background Investigation.

Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm.

Starting Salary Range :$31.44 - $36.98 Hourly
