We are seeking Level 3 Mechanical Inspectors to join our team in South Carolina, working full-time during first and second shifts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality inspection, particularly in the aerospace industry, with the ability to independently validate established criteria and conduct complex inspections without additional guidance.

What to Expect:

As a Quality Inspector, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the highest quality standards in defense manufacturing. You will be responsible for reviewing received shipments and lots, ensuring complete documentation packages, and verifying that FAI (First Article Inspection) paperwork meets AS 9100 requirements. Your role will be critical in supporting the production process by mitigating potential delays, managing inspection data, and aligning resources as needed. You will also contribute to the development and management of inspection programs, allowing engineering teams to focus on their core activities.This is a 6+ Month Contract position in which you will be supporting our client on-site on a full-time basis at first or second shift hours.What You'll Do:

Conduct in-process and final product inspections, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications for various materials and processes including: Aluminum and aluminum alloys, Titanium and titanium alloys, Composite, plastic, and CRES surfacesCleaning, descaling, and surface preparationApplication of special-purpose chemical and solvent coatings and finishes (e.g., polyurethane topcoat, primers, lubricants, adhesives)Special processes (e.g., chromium plating, alloy plating, anodizing, heat treatment, abrasive & alkaline cleaning, magnetic particle)Non-destructive testing (e.g., penetrant methods of testing)Forming, straightening, and fitting of metal partsPart markingCMM / dimensional inspectionUtilize standard inspection hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages) to validate part dimensions and characteristics.Validate manufacturing planning and part routing.What You'll Need:

Extensive experience as a Senior Quality Inspector or CMM Operator, with industry and commodity-specific expertise.Proficiency in dimensional inspection of precision tolerance parts.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with all inspection tools.Ability to understand and interpret complex GD&T requirements and validate complex assemblies.Experience with multiple primary and secondary part numbers (e.g., brackets, clips, doublers, splices, brackets, drip shields, etc.).To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
