The Athletics Director for Development works for the New College Foundation and closely with the Athletic Director to pursue giving opportunities and cultivate the development cycle of prospects and donors to further Athletics programs and scholarship. Assists with day-to-day advancement and sponsorship functions for the Department of Athletics. Responsible for assisting with generating new business and potential partners and donors, coordinating sponsorship inventory, assisting with donor events, and fulfilling advertising and sponsorship/donor agreements.Examples of Duties

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:Recommends, plans, and implements fundraising strategy in coordination with the Athletic Director & VP of Advancement for maximize donation revenue and portfolio growth within Athletics Advancement.Recommend policies and procedures designed to enhance annual fundraising to support the athletic department.Assist in development of comprehensive communications strategy supporting the overall fundraising process.Drafts donor proposals, sales collateral, and gift agreements. Collaborates to develop strategies, goals, and objectives for donor identification and solicitation.Assists with donor campaigns. Forecasts goals and provides updates on progress toward goals.Coordinates and assists with donor and prospective donor events and functions, including gameday hospitality events, scholarship events, and Athletics donor functions. Coordinates with appropriate students, staff, faculty, and leadership to execute events.Assists with gift processing and reconciliation. Tracks financial and general data in applicable systems to ensure accuracy. Collaborates closely with Advancement Financial Services to ensure accurate and compliant gift processing and reconciliation.Maintains donor information, creates communication materials, and assists with donor correspondence and mailings.Assists with the development and use of social media towards revenue generation and sponsorship/donor cultivation.Maintains a working knowledge of and adheres to all NCAA, NAIA Conference, and institution rules and regulations, and communicates immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.With the Athletic Director, oversee aspects of the athletic program, including, but not limited to:Assisting Athletics Director (AD) with meetings with stakeholders and social media as needed.Ensuring compliance with all professional and regulatory expectations and working with AD to change and enforce policies.Assisting the AD in the development of an annual budget and its implementation.In collaboration with administration and AD, reinforcing and developing a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and scholarship.Other Duties:

Assists with general office administrative duties as assigned.Other job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

This position requires either six years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.Experience working in intercollegiate athletics,Fundraising experience in a higher education setting.Professional full-time experience with Advancement, fundraising, or other relevant experience.Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or In Design.Experience and proficiency with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising applications.
