What We're DoingBecome a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The WorkIn this role, your responsibilities include:•Writing code in Ada, C++ and Python•Creating and running unit test•Developing software documentation•Performing test planning, monitoring, and execution of test activities•Reviewing and verifying system level and software level requirements•Developing and executing automated software test cases in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline•Collaborating with Stakeholders and Government customer•Working within an Agile team environment, to include Iteration Planning, Feature and Story development, Sprint Planning, and Iteration Retrospectives.•Participating in demos for the team and program Sprint reviews

•Bachelor's degree in STEM related field, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience for Principal Engineer, or 0 years with a PhD•Must have an Active Secret Clearance•Experience with automated software requirements testing and analysis•Experience with DevSecOps and Jenkins continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation•Experience with Software Containerization and Orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Docker)•Unix/Linux Operating System Experience•Ada Software Development experience or C++/Java/ Software Development experience with a strong motivation to learn Ada.•Understanding of Modeling and Simulation•Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment

Work Schedule Information

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $85,900 - $164,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
