We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Driver/Dispatcher to join our Home Delivered Meals Program. This role is crucial in helping us ensure that nutritious meals reach those in need, enhancing their quality of life and well-being.

Why This Role Matters:

As a Driver/Dispatcher, you will be the heart of our Home Delivered Meals Program, playing a vital role in distributing meals and coordinating with drivers and volunteers. Your work will directly impact the lives of homebound clients, providing them with essential nourishment and support.

Key Responsibilities:Meal Distribution:

Efficiently distribute prepared meals and delivery routes to drivers and volunteers, ensuring that every client receives their meal on time.Food Safety:

Monitor food temperatures using drivers' temperature sheets and report any issues to the Site Coordinator. Ensure adherence to food preparation regulations and guidelines.Route Management:

Maintain a reliable client delivery route, deliver meals with care, and update any delivery issues. Report to the Site Coordinator if clients are not home, including their contact information.Record Keeping:

Return all necessary paperwork at the end of each route and manage the return of frozen or chilled meals to appropriate storage.Safety:

Adhere to road safety rules and exercise sound driving judgment.What We're Looking For:

Licensing:

Valid NYS Driver's License with a clean driving record and access to a reliable automobile.Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:

Minimum of one year of driving and customer service experience. Experience in human services is a plus.Skills:

Ability to lift up to 10-20 lbs, use GPS effectively, and complete online Food Safety Training after hire.Communication:
