The Team Lead performs various supervisory tasks and ensures employees have the resources and training to perform their jobs successfully. The Team Lead possesses advanced knowledge and skill in their respective function and utilizes this knowledge and skill to train, coach, and supervise employees. The Team Lead actively encourages a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Essential Functions

Supervises the daily activities and operational performance of a team of direct care employeesEnsures ongoing and transparent communication by holding huddles, one-to-one meetings, and the utilization of approved communication resources. Ensures communication saturation.Promotes a culture of strong performance and high moraleProvides orientation, training, and mentoring to new employees; ensures that orientation and trainingobjectives are completed within established timeframesEnsures the completion of clinical and operational goals within required timelinesCoordinates and trains employees to understand program service delivery model and how each member of the team serves to ensure fulfillmentEnsures employee compliance with company policy, procedure and operational expectationsAddresses performance problems and provides appropriate supportImproves employee competence by providing educational resources and trainingImproves clinical, operational, and financial results by analyzing data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.Prepares and analyzes reports as requiredManages employee timecards and other payroll responsibilitiesWorks with the Quality Assurance department and Valley Leadership to ensure compliance with all related and applicable regulatory requirements including but not limited to: grants, licensing, audits, property management and Medicaid.Performs client care responsibilities including targeted case management, medication distribution, client transportation, etc.Coordinates with leadership to ensure shift coverage; provides on-call coverage as assignedBenefits

Required Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or equivalentExperience

Six months direct care experienceLicenses/Certifications

Professional License/Certificate as required by job functionCPR certification as required by departmentValley de-escalation certification as required by departmentDriving positions require a current Utah Driver's license, must be 21Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree, any field of studyOne year of supervisory experience
