Job Summary:

As a member of Lockton’s dynamic Tax Team, this associate will play an integral role in US tax compliance and reporting for Lockton’s non-US entities. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to working with international team members to gather and analyze accounting information used to calculate federal taxable income for US tax purposes, prepare and maintain supporting workpapers and schedules that support the calculation of Lockton’s federal taxable income and foreign tax credits, including Lockton’s federal international information returns. The person will work closely with Lockton’s outside tax providers to ensure accurate return preparation. Additionally, this associate will support the quarterly taxable income projections and forecasts process as well as support the team in tax planning strategies and the required reporting and filings that accompany such projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax workpapers and related filings to support the annual income tax filings for federal income tax purposes for all Lockton non-US entities such as Forms 8858, 8865 and 5471.

• Manage data collection process with Lockton’s international accounting and finance teams and identify and implement process improvements.

• Prepare other miscellaneous tax filings.

• Research relevant tax issues, present findings to team.

• Assist with projects related to management and operational financial statement reporting.

• Support tax team on responding to federal, state and local tax audits and inquiries related to tax filings

• Support team in tax planning strategies including preparation and filing of tax election forms.

• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and good knowledge of accounting principles with a Master of Taxation and CPA preferred.

• 2-3 full years of federal income tax reporting and compliance experience in a multi-national work environment dealing with accounting and general taxation matters, which may be in industry, public accounting, or similar surroundings.

• Excellent computer skills including experience with MS Office software and data collection tools, Advanced Excel skills a must; prior experience with ONESOURCE Dataflow a significant advantage.
