The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; and obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. He/she determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. Communicate with external contacts frequently and is responsible for ensuring ongoing service is done.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8 am to 5 pm.
Wednesday: 1 pm to 5 pm.
Requirements
Required Education:
Masters degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Required Experience:
One year of experience in specialty area.
Preferred Experience:
Two or more years Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Medicine.
