Hebron Ln.Shepherdsville, KY 40165Shift : Part Time, 7a-7pAbout Us:UofL Health is investing in the health of Bullitt County, and the surrounding area with an expansion of UofL Health Medical Center South to become an inpatient hospital UofL Health South Hospital. South Hospital is expected to open in early 2024 and will add approximately 100,000 square feet of new space to the existing facility. Responsibilities:Job Summary:The charge nurse assists the Clinical Manager and/or Nursing Director with the management of the unit including participating in employee evaluation, staffing and scheduling, patient and preceptor assignments, oversight of resource utilization, and initiating and overseeing quality improvement activities. The charge nurse acts as a resource and provides information/education to unit staff. The charge nurse is involved in service recovery, promoting customer service to both internal and external customers. The charge nurse is a role model and proponent of the professional nurse as exemplified by their presence on the unit, participation in nursing department initiatives such as the acquisition of Magnet Certification, and organizational committee meetings.Area of focus:ICU

Qualifications:Required QualificationsLicensed or eligible for license in KentuckyBasic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some unitsAssociates degree from accredited college or University1 + year RN experience.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree from accredited college or University#LI-DNI
