About Us:
UofL Health is investing in the health of Bullitt County, and the surrounding area with an expansion of UofL Health – Medical Center South to become an inpatient hospital – UofL Health – South Hospital. South Hospital is expected to open in early 2024 and will add approximately 100,000 square feet of new space to the existing facility. South Hospital will include a 10-bed intensive care unit, medical/surgical patient rooms, six operating rooms, new cardiac catheterization lab, expanded emergency department, centralized sterile processing area, laboratory, pharmacy, cardiopulmonary, respiratory therapy and more.

ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the health care organization.
The area of focus:
Emergency Department
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
RN License or eligible for license in Kentucky
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or will obtain during orientation if your current job did not require it.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or will obtain during orientation
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in specialty area
