The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the preparationof bid documents, rf(x) and issuance or purchase orders. Underdirection from the Procurement Manager or Director Procurement,will be responsible to develop key procurement documents to beincluded in the rf(x) process. Will assist in the developmentand assembly of the procurement plan to meet project andbusiness objectives. The Buyer will be responsible for theissuance and administration of any purchasing related documentsto support the Procurement Manager or Director Procurement.

Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesPrepares purchasing documents

Reviews purchase requests for pertinent and accurateinformation, prepares and processes purchase orders formaterials and equipment and e-qualification of suppliers andsubcontractors

Maintains proper documentation of the procurement processessuch as purchase orders, work orders, and supplier agreements

Complies with all applicable processes and procedures

Utilizes all related procurement software

Assists with the prequalification process for all bidders

Develops bidders list for approval, tracking andadministration

Supports the vendor selection and notification process

Supports the supplier qualification process

Maintains project procurement status logs, vendordatabases, and correspondence

Other duties as assigned

Show your expertiseBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or relatedpreferred

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)preferred

Apics Certification preferred

Prior experience working in Procurement or Sourcingexperience preferred

Experience working in Procurement in manufacturing, energy,oil & gas, high tech or construction environment preferred

Experience working in projects in a construction / projectenvironment preferred

Project management experience is desirable

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong project management skills

Exceptional organization and coordination skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel,Power Point, Outlook, etc.)

SAP, Oracle, Ariba experience preferred
