This position entails managing patient care, staff assignments, and ensuring that all ER operations align with both hospital policies and regulatory standards.The Charge Nurse serves as the primary liaison between the medical staff, patients, families, and other healthcare team members, by ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the ER team. These individual assigns duties to nursing staff and ensures proper coverage for all shifts, address and resolves conflicts or issues among staff and patients efficiently, and oversees the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.The Charge Nurse manages and allocates nursing and medical resources effectively, and coordinates with admissions to optimize bed utilization. As you know the emergency room is a fast-paced area of the hospital and demands a balance of clinical expertise, leadership, and compassionate patient care, this role is integral to maintaining the quality and efficacy of emergency care.#LI-AM5We are looking for #Chargenurse that isa #RegisteredNurse or #RN that has #leadership expereince or looking for #leadership role. This position is in the #emergencyroom has #ERRN open to those looking for a #nursingcareers in #kansascity or a new #rnjobsQualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Current and valid state RN License2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.5. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 6 months of hire required.6. Previous supervisory experience, preferred.7. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred.8. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.9. Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):1. In Paramedic Base Station ED, MICN, within 12 months of hire.2. EDAP Certified Facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 & 2 within 30 days of hire.3. Minimum of 4 hours of CEU in Pediatric Training Classes per year ENPC preferred.4. Non OB facilities: NRP (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.5. Non OB facilities: Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire.
