Job Description- Title: Project Manager Location: Hoboken, NJ or Remote/Hybrid
Summary Project manager plans, executes, and delivers all projects on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. This person will work closely with our internal and external stakeholders and must demonstrate professional knowledge to ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest quality. This person will also apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve workflow productivity, manage the project plans, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies.
Responsibilities 1. Planning:
Partner with the Product Manager, Business Leads and the project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, benefits and deliverables Define and create end-to-end project plans that include all technical and non-technical activities from initiation to project completion Work with the Product Manager and Business Leads to define success metrics and criteria
2. Delivery:
Drive project delivery with a focus on timeliness, budget, scope, quality, and stability Evaluate trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities and ensure compliance with company project methodology standards Establish mechanisms for reporting and report project status against objectives and goals, escalate unresolved issues, and continually update relevant business stakeholders Assess and resolve high-priority project risks to ensure projects meet success parameters and ROI targets
3. Communication & Collaboration:
Establish and manage dashboards and KPIs to drive transparency and aid decision-making (e.g., Cost, Usage, Performance, Scale, Errors) Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and senior management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities Proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve risks and issues in a timely manner Collaborate with and support teams to build trust and deliver work effectively across business units Report weekly through online status dashboards to provide real-time data on program and project delivery status to the executive leadership team Manage complex projects that span multiple business teams; understand and manage impacts and interdependencies with other teams and projects
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field. Five to seven years of project management experience including Front-office/Sales Transformational, technology-enabled projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of data governance principles and practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security strongly preferred Familiarity of data standards and regulatory requirements preferred Knowledge of software development lifecycles (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative) Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management tools (Visio, MS Project, JIRA, Clarity) Independent, self-motivated decision-maker Excellent presentation, communication, and multitasking skills Strategic and tactical thinker with strong consensus-building abilities Strong relationship-building and leadership skills Adaptable to rapid development cycles and uncertainty Skilled in budget management and collaboration with Finance and Program Leads Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and negotiation skills Able to anticipate and resolve risks Comfortable with ambiguity and change In-depth understanding of project management concepts Willingness to travel as needed
