Technology Product Owner - VP

The RoleThe Product Owner & Business Analyst is a senior role within the Financial Crimes and Investigation Product team at Citi. This Position will be supporting the critical end to end (E2E) reconciliation product that is a key control overseeing the AML transaction monitoring process across all lines of business.The Product Owner is responsible to drive the product vision. Product owners need to understand the Why? behind the product development, Who is it for? and what value? does the product create for the business. Product Owners take the strategic and tactical decisions for the final product. A product owner is empowered to take the product decision and need to be available for the team to clarify the requirements.Responsibilities:Own and develop the product / value stream vision which will be the north star for driving strategic outcomes for the Scrum Team(s) supportedInspire the team to deliver upon the goalsLead the product functional design process and create the product roadmap based upon an intimate knowledge of the users and technologyWork in an agile environment by continuously reviewing the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risksResponsible to create Product features and epics functionalities in JIRA which enable achievement of business goals by collaborating with stakeholders.Create and own the product backlog prioritizing features which enable maximizing the business valueFacilitate backlog decomposition sessions with the technology teams to clearly define requirements from a user perspective, inclusive of acceptance criteria breaking down large stories for the team to consume in one sprintParticipate in the testing /review sessions and provide support for release.Oversees user acceptance testing to identify and remedy defects and approves final testing results.Accept the work completed by the team prior to release to production.Drive alignment of peer Product teams and coordinates with / understands Stakeholder priorities to act as the voice of the customer.Interact with the Architecture and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure successful delivery meeting Definition of DoneTrack and report product performance post-launch to evaluate / request future investment.Create strong feedback loops by leading the agile events seeking continuous feedback from stakeholders and incorporate in the backlog to achieve the desired outcomesDevelop the culture of using OKRs to ensure team members align on the purpose of the work and cascade feedback related to risk and dependenciesParticipate in Scrum events representing the Product, and alignment with the Product Manager vision.QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent with customer centric mindset to focus on client needs7+ years working in agile culture with 3+ years of relevant experience working as a Product Owner preferably in banking domain and within the AML area.Demonstrated ability to prioritize the items that maximize business value while receiving requests from multiple stakeholders at the same timesPossess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and team members to drive collaboration and alignmentExcellent problem solving and decision-making skills.Ability to understand data requirements, proficient in creating complex SQL queries and analyze and validate data. Have worked on complex ETL projects.Person with Problem solving skills, Curious and Inquisitive nature and shows attention to details.Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPointIn depth data analysis and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize findings and be able to present key insights to stakeholdersSuccessful track record of developing products within deadlines and commitments.Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives.Expertise with agile tools suites including Atlassian, MS Teams or similar agile managementtoolingSAFE Product Owner certificationsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge on AML and working on Compliance / Regulatory domain , multi-year consent order type effortsA passion for learning and a desire for personal growth, through self-study, formal classes, or on-the-job trainingBe an active leader in the product owner community------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Technology
