Job Overview:

The AVP, Insurance Business Development plays a key role in LPLIA's growth and success by developing an engagement strategy to implement both sales/marketing campaigns and events to drive sales through the insurance agency to achieve strategic goals. The role will focus on partnering with our institutional partnerships and the sales teams so that we can provide targeted messaging, product positioning and education tailored to the independent advisors and institutional relationships. The role will build executable sales plays/cadence for internal teams, report outcomes from campaigns and events, and continually refine sales plays/cadence to achieve desired outcomes. As needed, may require periodic travel to support in-person events.

Responsibilities:

In every interaction Provide Quality Customer Service

Anticipate institutional and advisor needs and proactively provide solutions to enhance the experience.Problem-solve myriad issues relating to compliance, operations, and technology concerns; Strive for one call resolution.Work collaboratively across business units to provide service and to facilitate cross referrals.Campaigns and Events

Oversee the Core Carrier program and sponsorship payments, reconciliation, and associated events.Plan and execute in person events, includes logistics, budgeting, and event coordination.Develop executable sales plays/cadence of activities for sales team to achieve target outcomes.Using sales enablement tools like salesforce and other technologies, build out and continually refine a cadence of activities for sales team to execute and record outcomes.Ensure sales team is prepared when introducing a new event and sales play/activity cadence that outlines advisor or institution target, key message/benefit, key activity outcomes and measures of success.Opportunity Pipeline Reporting

Create and refine outcome reporting to share with sales leadership and stakeholders.Evaluate and summarize key findings from the reporting results and propose adjustment to achieve targeted outcomes.Carrier Marketing

Working with Key Account Management within LPL and Carriers, maintain carrier reference materials on products, concepts, and software.Maintain the sales team's carrier/product reference tool.Sales and Marketing Knowledge Base

Oversee the maintenance of sales/marketing knowledge base to assist sales team with product, concept, and positioning materials.Oversee the maintenance of both advisor and client facing carrier reference materials.Personal Development

Participate in appropriate professional development activities to best provide support to advisors and their clients, which may include pursuit of certain professional designations and continuing educationWhat are we looking for?

Requirements:

3+ years experience in sales and/or marketing of insurance products is required.Experience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programsExperience communicating results to senior leadershipPreferred:

Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insightsExperience with Salesforce and TableauAbility to develop strong working relationships with sales partners.Ability to understand and simplify complex products, sales concepts, and strategies.Experienced in developing marketing campaigns, launching new products, managing portfolio of existing materials, websites, and other resources.Crafting and articulating a marketing strategy that aligns to sales goals and key marketing metrics.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Problem-solving skills, professionalism, and judgment.Ability to mentor/coach other team members toward achieving a shared goal.Strong collaborator, self-starter with a strong work ethic.

Pay Range:$104,100.00 - $173,500.00

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
