Senior EHR Application AnalystHealth Information Management provides tools to simplify release-of-information, chart tracking, and chart deficiency tasks. HIM Coding Application involves utilizing specialized workflows to assign various procedure and diagnostic codes to a patient record to ensure accurate reimbursement.The Application Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the design and build of the Epic application. They are primarily responsible for the overall build of the workflows, system configurations, change documentation and support of operations for the application. The Application Analyst is responsible for the installation and upgrades and the configuration of the application. The Application Analyst assists in the coordination of end-user support activities. The Application Analyst creates the test plans for the application, executes the test plans and version upgrades, and documents all test outcomes, including troubleshooting and support. The Application Analyst is responsible for addressing basic user or build issues, recommending mitigation plans and escalating more complex issues. The Application Analyst also provides on-call support for the application through go-live.Builds and maintains EHR application content as assigned by department lead/manager. Alters the system in a manner consistent with the style guide, best practices, and our guiding principles.Is an active participating member of ECB (Change Control). Adheres to all change related policies, procedures, and guidelines for appropriate migration of build or population of training pathways.Represents application in Integrated Work Groups and communicates back to the team.Mentors Level I and II Analysts to help ensure consistent application knowledge base.Essential Functions:The Application Analyst is the primary support for the Application Lead for the related Epic application. In addition to the duties discussed in the Role Description, the Analyst is responsible for the following:1) Executing Application Design and Build: Designing and building the related applicationWorking with Operations to optimize the design of the application#39;s capabilities and workflowsPerforming a thorough review of all Foundation Build Content and workflows for applicationParticipating in unit, application, and integrated testing for system functionalityBuilding data fields, screens, templates, and user-defined functionality, as requiredReviewing the proposed training curriculumFollowing build standards and maintaining synchronization between environments in collaboration with environment team2) Application Support: Providing go-live support for users on new applications, including functionalityProviding on-call support for application through go-live and post go-liveRepresenting application in Integrated Area WorkgroupsSupporting continuous documentation of system modifications and updates3) Documentation and Communication:Maintaining and closing support ticketsLogging decisions and issues/risks in trackerSupporting application governance needs, including development of business case for decisionsMaintaining version control of work flows, issues/risks log, and decisions trackerSupervising basic issues and roadblocks, escalating issues as neededCommunicating with manager to determine necessary escalations4)
