The Lead Quality Technician provides administrative support to Leadership involving quality assurance compliance regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation including generating reports, scheduling, inspection tracking, typing correspondence, and answering general telephone inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the ERP system or other software, in support of receiving, inventory, cycle counting and developing electronic laboratory records.Manage and maintain the raw material and finished product records to ensure compliance with lot numbers, traceability and company policy.Ensure appropriate security and accessibility of documents for regulatory inspections.Assist in the development of testing schedules and with the implementation & execution of electronic quality record keeping (Infinity).Provide administrative support with SQF Records, plant inspections, regulatory and third-party audits as well as laboratory reports and programs.Work interactively with multiple departments to ensure raw materials are approved efficiently.Review the daily schedule, to assist in the coordination of Quality Assurance activities.Communicate quality and compliance deficiencies to QA management.Be knowledgeable and follow all Quality Assurance guidelines and other regulatory requirements, and assist with the GMP administration of the same throughout the facility.Save files and documents in accordance with Document Retention Policies.Assist in training of facility personnel (Food Safety, HACCP, etc).Perform additional duties as directed by department management.Obtain samples pursuant to QA Manual, for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.Work following the "Daily Lab Checklist" per the QA Manual and assist in the collection of data for verification.Assist in monitoring compliance with and administering GMP and SQF requirements.Assist with ensuring proper administration of all Critical Control and Quality Check Points.Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sampling, testing or reviewing as outlined in the QA Manual.Assist with monitoring for FIFO and communicate any concerns to the QA Manager.Assist with determining extra assignments for housekeeping and sanitation upkeep of the facility and communicate finding to department management.Assist with testing and documenting of weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packages integrity, and other routine information testing as required by the Daily Lab Checklist or the QA Manual.Own and lead program performance of environmental testing of air, water, listeria as needed according to the Lab Schedules.Be proficient in plating product samples for TC, TPC and Y & M as outlined in the QA Manual.Serve as backup SQF Practitioner to the Quality Manager.This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.Invest in and is an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.QUALIFICATIONS

All applicants must have two to four years of Quality and Management experience and show good leadership skills.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and MS Office Suite.
