The Office of the City Engineer's Design and Construction Procurement section has a vacancy for a Contracts Specialist I position. This position will perform a variety of duties to include:

Answer contractor questions.Review bids for responsiveness.Prepare PowerPoint presentations.Route contracts for signatures using Adobe sign.Utilize the UNIFIER system to track contract utilization.Review and advertise Design-Bid-Build projects.Collaborate with the Equal Opportunity Department as needed.Advertise professional engineering, architectural, and consultant services.Schedule and facilitate project scope of work meetings with firms and City staff.Review and provide feedback on proposal submittals, negotiate contract rates, and issue notices to proceed.All procurements will follow ARS Title 34.SALARY

Pay Range: $23.74 to $47.01 per hour.

Hiring Range: $23.74 to $35.08 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One year of experience working with governmental contracts or experience assisting a contracts administrator in contract preparation.Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field.Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.The City job description can be found here .All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

Experience providing excellent customer service.Experience giving presentations and speaking in front of groups.Experience working with local, state, and federal regulations.Experience interacting with the public and internal departments.Experience preparing Request for Qualifications, Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bids, and other contract documents.Experience facilitating meetings with various groups of people at different levels within and outside the organization.
