Overview

Summary

The QA Sr. Specialist for Improvement is responsible for performing field claim analysis, daily repair orders review, QIR (Quality Information Report) processing, and communication with HMMA, MOBIS and Suppliers regarding all issues relating to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Create and modify quality assurance report including monthly field claim analysis & status- Identify field claim trends, participate in supplier quality responsibility review on field claim reimbursement- Analyze field claim R/O (Repair Orders) provided through quality system (QMS, VAATZ, supplier portal)- Identify and investigate R/O trends and issues- Lead and perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for quality defects and maintain Quality Information database and Quality Improvement related documents- Maintain database and all documents relating to QIRs, and find root causes and countermeasures for quality defects- Prepares and presents the CS1M/RS1M (Customer Satisfaction/Reliability Study) status monthly- Cooperate with Headquarters in Korea on monthly Quality Status- Cooperate with Quality Control to analyze the assembly line processes and implement process improvements- Collaborate with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) on the returned part analysis- Monitor and participate in event of part Engineering Order changes and trials, and analyze the results to determine if any potential warranty claims may exist- Provide support for Quality Control team and address questions and concerns- Execute on-site supplier audits for quality improvement to assure validity and reliability of manufacturing and quality processes of the Suppliers.- Plan, organize, perform and control quality assurance and problem containment activities and preventive actions to meet team's goals- Develop processes, systems, forms and other tools to increase efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of information- Prepares and presents supplier issues, status and corresponding resolutions to management and others within the company- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions- All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or the related field, and min. present 3 consecutive years of job experience as a tech in Engineering or Manufacturing Industries, or2. Bachelor's degree in other than above field and min. present 6 consecutive years of job experience as a tech in Engineering or Manufacturing Industries, or,3. Engineering/Technical Degrees or Coursework and min. present 5 consecutive years of job experience as a tech in Engineering or Manufacturing Industries.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Data Analysis- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work effectively on a team- Customer Service Orientation- Knowledge and understanding of AIAG, IATF16949,ISO Standards, 6-sigma, SPC, PPAP,ISIR, Control Plan, FMEA , QMS, 8D Problem Solving Approach and blueprint reading

Additional Preferred Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 or more years of experience in a technical position in an Automotive Industries- Product or industry-specific experience- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience- Solid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical analysis

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma

Working Conditions

- 60% office, 20% production floor, 20% OEM or Suppliers site

- Traversing around production floor

- Chances of lifting up to 30 lbs

- Overtime as needed (40 Hours a week plus OT)

- Frequent OEM and suppliers visiting

- Possibility of domestic and international travel
